The Elder Qualifications in 1 Timothy 3

The qualification of being able to teach is listed 8 out of 15 in 1 Timothy 3. It's the single qualification that most plainly sets the elders apart from the assisting office of the deacons, you have the lead office, the teaching office, and an assisting office called Deacon. We might also say that able to teaches is the most distinctive qualification of the elders. The man who will hardly stop teaching, even if you put a gun to his head, and that's what we're looking for.
