Increasing the Compute Power Required for AI Research

In the middle of the deep learning era as large scale starts to take over where the compute power required for improvements starts to grow exponentially. And so this outstrips advances in computation in general. It just means these companies are, these research wings of largely companies today are competing on building bigger and more expensive systems.
