The Food of Politics and the Politics of Food

Barack Obama was criticized for being an elitist because he liked to eat arugula salad. Barack Obama tried to emulate Teddy Roosevelt and bust up some of the big food trusts but failed. Michelle Obama became more effective by planting her White House garden, which I think is a terrific story. And that proved more effective in getting the message out than president's legislation.
