Revelation 12 - The Beginning of the New Year
The birth of the child in revelation 12 was john's way of saing that the presence of god had indeed returned to the earth. God's escatological judgment of all people was expected to fall on this day. The new year trumpet also proclaimed hope in the ongoing and ultimate kingship of god, in god's judgment and reward according to people's deeds.
