There's definitely some you know crit self-criticism going on we could also be working on because I'm sure that adds a whole other layer she feels bad and then she beats herself up for feeling bad which of course makes her feel much worse so that would be option number two. Then in the back of my mind I thought another potential direction to go in but maybe not as important is that Karen feels frustrated and annoyed with her mom for being kind of the way that she is overbearing and maybe opinionated  and for not taking better care of herself. So potentially if she wanted to feel more settled in her relationship with mom we could do forced empathy and help Karen to feel more accepting
