Taking Care of the Airway

There are very few patients that come into the ED that I'm like, maybe you should be intubated. But fast off is crap because remember the goal that we've set out for ourselves is taking care of the airway. So if you give them succs and you can't intubate them, now you have to find the second rat of intubation. This kind of offset doesn't really make any sense because we're not going to wake patients up. We don't get to say, oh, I forgot my erasure CD today. Why don't we just cancel the case and move it to tomorrow? It doesn't happen. Right? anesthesia gets to do that
