The Importance of Doubt

Dr. Westfall: I'm just reminded that Jesus talks about, you must have the mind of a little child to reach heaven. He also talks about lean not on your own understanding. One of the interesting things about both Marx and Kierkegaard is that although they were enormously intellectual and learned and wrote voraciously, they didn't hold academic posts. It was never a hare doctor professor. They were always just on their own, bearing witness if you like, giving testimony.
