The Benefits of Having a Fever
Fever is a good thing because your body is wired to operate optimally at 98.6. Some infections, some viruses attack the very cells that are meant to mount the immune response. HIV goes after T cells, which attack and destroy foreign bodies. So when you get a fever, it's actually slowing all those processes down, including the viruses spread.
