The Problem With the DeSantis Candidate
DeSantis has said he wants to be the Republican presidential nominee in 2024. Some say his offer is essentially Trumpism without Trump, but ideologically it's the same. He did not sign the permit as carry nor the abortion bill publicly because it doesn't pull well. The messaging on it is off and they know that they are losing people from their base,. especially suburban white women.
