How to Be a Good Active Listener

Sometimes native speakers and obviously language learners who need more time to think of vocabulary and grammar before they speak don't realize they're making these noises. To be a good active listener the main thing which is something again which I need to work on  is to actually listen to what that person says instead of just thinking about what you're going to say next.
