The History of Christmas Carol
I'm still fascinated by atonement, not quite sure what to make of Christmas and incarnation. One of the things I didn't know until I read your book was that it was quite common to tell ghost stories during Christmas. So yeah, we don't think anymore of Christmas Carol as a ghost story, but that's exactly how Dickens thought of it. You pick up on the phrase, the one thing needful, which was an important phrase in the Victorian era.
