Functional imagery training works in a sequence. The key is to make it multi sensory, not just visualization of one sense. So for it to be like an effective cue the night before, say if we're using the example of my feet touching the floor as I get out of bed, do I really have to be imagining that moment and then think about what I'd be doing next?
