The False Consciousness of the System

The products indoctrinate manipulate you can go buy stuff that you like and propaganda in them aside he's saying that the very act of this whole thing indoctrinates and manipulates you into the values that keep the entire system going. The rationality of the given system is a false rationality and anything that might go outside of that it's able to repackage and pump back into it so if you think you're being reasonable in a liberal system you're not, says Marcuse. This goes right back to the idea that with Marx that you're thinking in terms of your class interests and they're keeping you trapped in your economic conditions.
