Toilet Paper - The First Toilet Paper Roll
By the early 14th century, the Chinese were manufacturing toilet paper at around 10 million packages a year. Modern toilet paper did not get to the West until 1857. The first toilet paper roll was introduced in 1890. In 1973 America experienced its first toilet paper shortage and it was all because of a joke that Johnny Carson made on the Tonight Show.
