The Legacy of Domitian

The Lymez Germanicus was a fortification network along the Rhine and Danube rivers. Domitian would neither begin nor complete it, but he was committed to it whole-heartedly. Though his work would finally be completed by Hadrian,Domitian's effort helped pave the way for a century and a half of security on the northern border.
