The prophets were often reiterating laws that God had long ago established and was repeating to them. When it is dark, dark, dark in what they're saying, that is when the cross of Christ is just larger. So the prophets are always pointing to Jesus even if you don't hear His name. I also think they're kind of beautiful reading because a lot of it in verse."
