The virtual self is somehow eccentric. Different from outside of your in real life self. There's the image of you that you posted on Instagram having that meal. Then there's the you who on a particular morning wearing some nasty aspajama pants felt the urge to post that image. You're spending $400 on a pair of jeans that are about to disintegrate because they're so worn out. It's like spending $80 in San Francisco, which is how much it costs to get a haircut that makes it look like you just rolled out of bed.
