The Stigma Around Drowning

Drowning is the number one cause of death for toddlers one to four, and it's the number two for all of childhood. The stigma around drowning that it's happening to neglectful parents who aren't watching their kids when they're swimming is really the greatest threat to drowning prevention efforts. Levi was wearing a puddle jumper and a life jacket on his final day of life; in 14 pictures he is wearing a Lifejacket or a Puddle Jumper. We were not neglectful parents.
