The decision to start something is made under uncertainty. We know very little for most things in comparison to all there is to be known. After we start something, we're going to find out new stuff. And then sometimes that stuff is going to be bad and we'll be thinking about quitting. But the situation you're in at the moment isn't so dire that it's a hundred percent sure that you should quit.
