The Limitations of Mathematics

Physicists always have to abstract heavily from real nature. They end up with systems that are highly artificial so the mathematics can be applied. Nancy Cartwright called this physics as a theater because you have to arrange and direct so much before you can bring the mathematics in. This is only possible to see the limitations when you've gone through the way that physicists create their models.
