The Million Dollar Question, Nick, Is Decentralization a Good Idea?

During the Trump presidency, we heard a tremendous amount of essentially thank God for federalism and institutional decentralization. The other side of the coin is that decentralization may allow, may actually increase the likelihood that you get a would-be autocrat in national power in the first place. So there's this trade off essentially increasing your risk on the one hand, but then you have insurance once that risk is in national power.
