Part of real research is looking toward highly credible sources. Be honest with yourself about whether that research supports your original idea. If it does not this would be an awesome time to explore changing your mind. You want to match the assertion in your epic piece of content to the evidence you're actually finding. Always keep lots of track of those quotes and make sure you carefully document who said them.
