How Many Studies Are Out There Reporting Preoperative PAPI?

We conducted a systematic literature search for studies reporting on pulmonary pulse, pulmonary artery pulsaticity index, and right ventricular failure in LVAD implantation. We found 32 full-text papers that we were able to include in our analysis. 29 of them were retrospective studies and three others were prospective observational studies. The heart rate two and three and the HVAD were the most popular devices being studied across all these retrospective and prospective studies. And interestingly, of the 4,800 patients included in our analysis, just about 27% ended up developing right Ventricular failure.
