Russia's Prioritization in the Security Debate
Russia has lost a lot of its previous ability to shape the regional scene around it but also respect that commanded more globally. Russia still prioritises alliances like the BRICS countries even perhaps over more regional alliances given their discomfort with what's happened in Ukraine and Russia's overreaching there. I wonder if we learn anything really from the collapse of the Soviet Union when in the 90s there was the view that Russia was a weak and perhaps more toothless entity.
