The subtitle of the book is social location. It's a phrase that has emerged in academic circles, especially over the last maybe 30, 40 years. I think most people don't really think about their social location. They just are in their social locations. So was my family? What's my racial ethnic cultural context? My socioeconomic status and context? Was my geographical location in terms of nationality or in terms of region? And what's my location interms of my gender identity and my marital status?"
