The History of the Spanish Conquistadors

In 15 11, bish von saca established a permanent standing committee of the indies that was nested inside the council of castile. The two most important conquests were those in mexico and peru. These guys would underwrite their own expeditions and recruit men by offering profit sharing contracts. But as they fanned out across north central and south america, the island of hispaniola went from principal capital to forgotten ghost town.
