Halloween and everything that came off that, or even Black Christmas. I feel like throughout the 80s and into the 90s, really the home invasion movie was essentially transformed into the quintessential slasher movie. But something happened around the turn of the Millennium Kev, didn't it? What happened? And then all through the 2000s, a really dark time for horror cinema as in the films got dark.
