This is clearly a book that wants to engender militants, yes. And it's pretty hard to be a good, well organized militant if you've just tuned it and dropped out. They seem to have been read as though they were separate. Although in a thousand plateas they're more explicit about castinata, don juan and these things. But again, it's kind of a cautionary tale as well.
