What Is Crony Capitalism?

Hundreds of thousands of Black men were arrested for things that were hardly crimes or they were misdemeanors. They would be assigned to work in a camp where they'd never saw the sunlight during the entire day. And if a plague came through the camp and people got sick and died, 10, 20, 30% of the entire work camp would simply die. No one cared. It meant nothing to anyone, anyone official that this was happening. You could just go out and arrest more. I mean, this was totally a crony situation in which you were getting very, very cheap labor provided by the state based on a system of injustice.
