Is There a Need for More GPs?

It's not too long ago that 50% so half of all medical graduates went into general practice. Now it's less than 14%. That is just not a sustainable pipeline to keep a good primary care system operating. The Prime Minister and I were down only the week before last announcing a scheme with Tasmania that would see GP registrars. So we could get away from this idea that General Practice is somehow a complex, big order.
