The Importance of the Self

I've been thinking a lot lately about utilitarianism versus personalism and Carole Vojtiva. The idea of the gift of self, like it's really to be able to give yourself to another, I think, is like that doesn't sit so well with a purely Aristotelian pagan idea. Scotus really does think that like God loves you very much and greatly desires your flourishing wants you to be happy in heaven.
