Eliminating Lecosis From the Herd

Lecosis is a bloodborne virus. Anything that moves blood from one cow to another, such as a shared needle or rectal sleeve, can transmit the disease. So we've taken a two prong approach to eliminating lecosis from our herds. The biting flies actually have a side benefit. We reduced flies to be an almost a non-issue on the dairy and the calf ranch.
