There was another Chita in Kona which died apparently during or following a mating kind of a situation. So how does this happen and is there any way we can anticipate and safeguard against this? It's very unusual and also it doesn't make much sense that males really actively kill a female if they want to breed with her. If she has a choice this is much better then she can choose between the males because it's she is blocked for the next two years.
