Phenomenology - Hegel's Idea of the Most Immediate Form of Knowledge
Hegel's idea is that this is the most seemingly immediate form of knowledge, like it's knowledge that comes from our senses. Even what we think is immediate is mediated or to put it in the terms that you were just using, even what we thinking is free of bias,. because we're just knowing it immediately, is itself inflected with some kind of bias.
