In 1973, Berkeley got sued for gender discrimination. A statistician looked at the data and said there was a preference for female candidates. Inflation adjusted earnings for prime age men fell by $1,000 between 1982 and 2013. But pry the hood open and you find the following: Some rose for white men by $3,000; in come rose for black men by about $ 1,000.
