i think that many people are really not aware of how hard it can be to get out of poverty particularly if you have added issues like being disabled. People in poorer health live in less safe environments for instance sometimes they lack transportation and don't own a car. In the united states we've had rising levels of income inequality going back to the 1980s so there are multiple obstacles that are just intensifying.
