The BGs' Jive Talkin'
Main course was the BGs' second album with producer Arif Martin. The song Nights on Broadway is built on a hard funk riff, and ironically, it leads off with one of the huskiest lowest vocals Barry had ever used on a track. Jive Talkin' topped the Hot 100 in August 1975. Four months later, Nitezon Broadway followed it into the top ten, peaking at number seven.
