CHAPTER

In Vivo Reprogramming of Stem Cells

The reprogramming of adult cells can occur through a fetal-like process during regeneration. This whole fetal program is actually used after enduring adult cells that de-differentiate and heal. It's still not very clear what the molecular mechanism that we initiate is these convergence in vivo. But we can speculate that would be reactivation of transcription factors or the erasure of the epigenetic mechanisms that are maintaining the identity of the cell.
