The Role of Genes in Longevity

The single most important thing you can do to live to 100 is pick the right parents. There are no really great longevity genes, but it's not like there's going to be a candidate gene that once CRISPR is fully working, we're just going to zap into everybody. All of their genes, when you look at them, are basically genes that are chronic disease prevention genes. They just get all the same disease as the rest of us do 20 years later.
