Can Government Policy Make It Easier for Parents to Ignore Their Kids?
A lot of what I write about in this book is parents need to be able to ignore their kids more. Part of it is don't prosecute parents who try to be free range for our sample. A lot of people delay having kids because of the expense of housing. Did the pandemic give us anything in terms of improving the possibility of families to engage in much shorter commutes? My commute is three minutes from my bedroom to my office. did that give us anything positive? Yes, with an offsetting negative,. People like you and me, this is like kind of like cronyism. And younger people with less vibrant workplaces suffer professionally.
