Leather Jackets and Engineer Boots: A Wild Side Story

In Japan when button down shirts rolled out in the 50s or 60s, parents would cut the buttons off because there was such a disrespectful shirt to wear. Only time I've had two times ever in my life where someone has like called out that I was wearing engineer boots and it's because they were brand new and shiny and noticeable. And it was just like, Hey, you got some new boots, man. Those are cool. There's never like, where are you? Yeah. You have instantly become you have, you are leather jacket guy. Am I leather jacket guy? You are leather jacket."
