Black Elk's Vision Quest

Black Elk prayed that the power he now received through this ritual would be used on behalf of his people. Black Road's council that the dance should be performed was apparently redemptive. Everyone was pleased with what had taken place, and Black Elk claimed that many of the community's sick were healed. To him, the horses even appeared to be healthier than they were prior to the ceremony.
