The Cost of CO2 Pipelines in Brazil

There are more than 1,500 miles of CO2 pipelines in the U.S., but that's not a lot when compared to oil pipelines. There have only been 12 CO2 pipeline leaks with no injuries between 1986 and 2006. Over the same period, there were 5,000 accidents within 107 fatalities with liquid petroleum pipelines. It sounds like CO2 pipelines are always safer, but again, there's a lot fewer.
