What's the Difference Between Software Engineering and Data Science?

Software engineering is really the group of people that make sure that everything is running smoothly. And I would say the data analysis people are more interested in writing the models that we're hoping to analyze in the first place. There's a broad spectrum of work being carried out at all times, so a lot of people often have their hands in one or two piles at once.
