The Axion Theory and the Dark Matter
The Axion theory gives a beautiful account of the dark matter, and what we'd like to do now is to observe this dark matter in other ways than just through its gravity. At present, it's only observed through gravity, and the Axion theory predicts that Axion's have other interactions that are very, very weak. So there's been a big, big effort in recent years to design instruments that would detect Axion's if they are the dark matter. In a few years, we should pretty much know one way or the other, whether the theory actually applies to our universe,. That's, you'd list to say, very excited.
