Even Sinners Lender to Get Back the Same as Your Father Is Merciful
The Eastern Orthodox rejection of penal substitutionary atonement is so fundamentally evil because they fundamentally deny that there is a price to be paid. Jesus said even sinners do this, he was talking about lending simply to receive back that which he had been given. If you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that for you? Even sinners lend to sinners to get back the same amount,. Do good and lend expecting nothing in return and your reward will be great and you'll be sons of the most high. For he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil, be merciful even as your father is merciful.
