CNBC reports real estate sales plunge 38% but cash deals have hit an all time record. Drop in sales and prices follows a 29% decline in the fourth quarter. Manhattan brokers took the brunt of the pain throughout the country. Low level of inventory or unsold listings mean that buyers don't have much choice either in Manhattan.
