The Importance of Natural Assets on Public Accounts
The argument for including assets on the books is just, you know, more information. Right now we don't have a clue what natural resources they rely on. So that's why proponents would say, let's start with coming up with a minimum value of the services that nature provides because there are so many intangibles. There are some serious questions around that, not the least of it being the matter of ownership.
