Abraham was dating a woman named Courtney Daniels at the time of his disappearance. After winning the lottery, Abraham grew tired of all the paperwork and meetings related to his finances. He'd sought help from a friend of fifteen years, Judy Hagan's, who assumed the unofficial role of his assistant. The couple spoke on the phone for hours after he dropped her off at a bus station so she could visit a friend interstate. She soon learned of a rumor that Abraham had left Florida with another woman.
