Humans like us and the Inatals shared a common ancestor 500,000 years ago. Some of those people ended up in Eurasia; others remained in Africa. And still others moved into eastern parts of Eurasia. So we all share a common route, but we all went our own way in evolutionary terms. But intriguingly, we know for sure that these different groups met with one another on more than one occasion.
